Configure your Android phone or tablet to use Dnsway.1 for content filtering via Private DNS (DoT).

What You'll Need

Go to Settings → Network & Internet (or Connections on Samsung devices). Tap Advanced or scroll down to find additional options.

2
Find Private DNS Settings

Tap on Private DNS (or DNS settings on some devices). By default, it is usually set to "Automatic" or "Off."

📌 Note: On Samsung devices: Settings → Connections → More connection settings → Private DNS. On stock Android: Settings → Network & Internet → Advanced → Private DNS.
3
Enter Your DNS Hostname

Select Private DNS provider hostname. Enter the DNS server address provided in your Dnsway.1 Dashboard. Tap Save.

🔒

Enter your DNS hostname and save
FieldValue
Private DNS hostnamedns.dnsway.asia
4
Verify the Connection

Once saved, Android will show "Connected" or "Privacy: DNS over TLS" next to the Private DNS setting. Your device is now protected. All DNS queries are encrypted and filtered through Dnsway.1.

Done! Your Android device is now protected. Unlike iOS, this Private DNS method works on both Wi-Fi and mobile data.
⚠️ Note: Private DNS (DoT) only works if your DNS server supports DNS-over-TLS. If you encounter issues, you can also configure DNS manually per Wi-Fi network in Wi-Fi settings by changing the static IP settings to include a custom DNS.
